South-South Learning on an Integrated Approach to Food, Health, Biodiversity and Human Rights Protection – End of Project Report

Industrial farming systems are becoming the major drivers of Eco-destruction,
alarming land grabbing and mass evictions, land degradation, deforestation, loss
of biodiversity and worse still exacerbating hunger, malnutrition, starvation and a
distortion of women’s livelihood coping mechanisms.
FIAN Uganda in partnership with FIAN International and FIAN Colombia, with
support from SWEDBIO have implemented the project; South-South Learning on an
Integrated Approach to Food, Health, Biodiversity and Human Rights Protection
with an overall aim of strengthening the capacity of women in rural farmer and
fisher communities to face and find creative solutions to the ongoing multiple crisis
profoundly affecting the enjoyment of their right to food and nutrition, health, and a
healthy environment.
